Cat. Cat, why? I've been doing good in the Les Mis fandom. Despite my joking about having an OT10, because I'm down with just about any combination of the Amis and Musichetta, I've really only been shipping two pairings for the most part. Granted, one is still a triad, but it's a canonical triad. Mostly. (I do maintain that all my weird pairing numbers, be they the threesome from Series One of Doctor Who or the foursome from Decade or the six from Gokaiger, have a great deal of canon backing. And the Gokaigers are aliens. Aliens should have different ideas about sexuality than us. Maybe a sixsome is normal for some of them!)

But after some of our recent discussions now I want to find some actual OT9/10 fics. Or at least some Courfeyrac/Combeferre/Enjolras/Grantaire/Courfeyrac to see if anyone would actually try to balance that relationship. And I don't even know how to go about looking for fic that has Enjolras and Combeferre as BFFs who complete each other but are in happy relationships with others but get off on hearing the other one sexually excited because, hey, soul-mates but not necessarily in a romantic way. I mean... how did we even end up talking about that? Is that a kink? How would you even go about looking for fic like that?

Shipping is hard when you're a panromantic asexual who for some reason likes fictional poly relationships.

OT9 works for me. I can't see Musichetta with anyone but Joly and Bossuet though. Musischetta/Joly, or Musichetta/Joly/Bossuet. Not Musichetta/Bossuet unless it's Joly's birthday and he gets to watch or something. :D

Combeferre... voyeurism? Combeferre watching Enjolras get off? I've written both. What are you looking for in a plot?

Marius can barely manage to make one relationship work. Though I have toyed with Marius/Cosette/Eponine because I think the girls could have a really interesting relationship, Marius just doesn't tend to insert himself into many relationships well.

I like that birthday present idea for Joly. Musichetta/Joly/Bossuet is the triad that I've been shipping pretty hard, because I love Joly (awesome hypochondriac doctor, I'm pretty much sold) and he's got this semi-canonical triad going on and that makes me very happy. I couldn't see Musichetta without her guys, but if for some reason the rest of the Amis were involved in some sort of strange polygon relationship I would want her to be involved with them. And that's one of the fun things about trying to write any complicated OT9/10 with the guys--there are subpolygons in it, but there's still this deep love and respect between all of the Amis that could offset that, and it's interesting.

As for that strange little idea... I suppose voyeurism is what it is. And I shouldn't be surprised that you guys have written it. You guys have written everything. It's awesome. Ah, trying to explain how we ended up on such strange topics... Cat and I had been talking about Ferre/Fey and E/R, and somehow they're having sex in close proximity and Ferre can hear E and it gets him excited, which Fey is all right with, but a similar response from E towards hearing Ferre gives R issues about whether E actually wants to be with him. And then my brain just latched onto the idea of E and Ferre mutual voyeurism, I suppose? Basically toying with the idea of how close and in tune can they be while still not having overt romance with each other. I don't know, sometimes, what's going on in my own head. Hopefully it can entertain others in between my depressing rants about work, though.

That sounds like an amazing plot idea for a social/relationship/fluffy/sexy fic. I MAY have to take a stab at it. Would you care if it was modern times or would you prefer 1800s?

I would be fine with any time period, if you really wanted to take a go at it! Yay!

Oh dear, you are making me want to watch more of Gokaiger. (I watched the first few episodes, and may or may not be eventually talked into cosplaying the green one because a few of my friends have expressed interest in doing this, and I'm the one in the group who pulls off blond best.)

I actually found OT7 a quite possible solution for Ouran as well, and managed to find a few fantastic fics as well (not many, but quality sometimes has to work over quantity, right?)

...admittedly, I've discussed and explored a loose OT10 before with les amis with some dyads and triads within it. (Even written something which was mainly cuddling with no real point.) However, as far as proper fic...

Actually, I've seen some fluffy... semi-romantic friendship things, and a couple where Jehan gets to make out with just about anything, but I don't know if I've seen proper OT9/10 fic before. If my librarianskillz find anything in the future, though, I will be glad to pass it along. :)

Oh, watch Gokaiger! I adore that show so much. I love the main cast and their chemistry. It's just... shiny. If you do end up cosplaying Doc, please send pictures! Doc is awesome, and I always love seeing group Gokaiger cosplays.

(If you ever want to talk tokusatsu, like Super Sentai or Kamen Rider or Ultraman, Cat and I are all ears. I have a list of pet series that I absolutely adore, Gokaiger being one of them.)

I never really looked into the Ouran fandom, but I'm all for shipping odd numbers of people so long as they all actually like each other. I may have to check this out now... and give myself an Ouran refresher, but that won't be a problem since I adored that show.

Admittedly, I'm no expert, going right back to the fact that I was literally not allowed to watch Power Rangers as a kid. That being said, I have a good friend who definitely knows all the sentai/Power Rangers series (individually and together, i.e. which ones got mashed up to make which Power Rangers series, which actors were in what, the best/worst of them, etc etc etc etc etc) far too well. (Not that I can talk, I'll hardly shut up about certain anime/manga series/musicals myself. ...or dorking about spike tape. Eep.)

It gets even better with the live-action version. Honey-senpai is the red ranger in Goseiger..... >D (and he's so adorable!!)
And Mori-senpai's actor actually got married to a woman (Mari Yaguchi, she's from Morning Musume and has been in a few things...) who is just under 5 feet tall. If that's not perfect casting I would seriously like to know what is. XD

I agree on that. Dyads and triads don't get in the way of the full group, it just makes for familiar and comfortable pockets within it.

I've written several OT9 things before. Slightly longer than a drabble, shorter than a fic. But yeah, several of 'em.

As for the particular kink you mentioned, I've never seen it done.

But on the community, there are tags for that particular threesome.

I'm certain there's a lot of good E/C/C out there (hopefully), since it's one of the triads that kind of writes itself in canon. It was more C/C/E/R that we were toying with that I was wondering if anyone had written or if we were being odd.

I would personally adore Combeferre/Courfeyrac/Enjolras/Grantaire fic. :D I kind of want to write it, too, but I am not sure what to write and I have enough on my mind fic-wise that I could never finish it... but I would read it. And love it.
