Wedding!

So Cat and I are now both legally and ceremonially married.  The ceremony was absolutely amazing--we mixed a whole bunch of traditions together, and we were both super happy with the result.

It'll be nice not to have the wedding planning to do anymore.  Now we just have planning of a different sort--between our savings and some gifts of air miles from family, we've got enough to get us over to Japan for our honeymoon at the start of November.  It's very exciting.  I've never been, but Cat lived there for a little bit.  I'm just super excited to go anywhere out of country--I spent a bit of time in Mexico, and like all Michiganders I've been to Canada, but I've never really been somewhere that far away.  Adventure!

Yay, congratulations! I'm glad the ceremony went well. I'd love to hear which traditions you chose to mix.

Thanks! It was absolutely gorgeous. Everything was outside, right on a lake. We had readings from the Bible and from some Hindu ceremonies related to marriage; we had a hand ceremony from Wicca; we were hand-fasted ala the Celtic traditions for our actual vows; and then we exchanged rings.

I'm so psyched about the honeymoon. Cat has all sorts of awesome historical and religious places picked out for us to go.

Sorry I couldn't make it D: The old car just isn't up for roadtrips anymore and the bank account just can't make other travel methods stretch.

And woo for honeymoon in Japan. Sounds super exciting! :D

Thanks! No worries about not making it. I understand about finances and cars. Hope the car keeps doing what you need it to do for as long as you're dependent on it.

The honeymoon is going to be so amazing. I've always wanted to travel, and this is pretty much the perfect excuse.
